Google recently announced that the entire LIFE photo archive will be made available on Google Image Search. I actually read it first from The Online Photographer’s article titled Playing Wilson Hicks, which eventually led me to check it out for myself. And thus I Googled for Google’s own blog, released on 18-Nov-2008, and finally found the article.
That’s pretty amazing stuff! And the collection dates all the way back to the 1750s. For anyone interested, be sure to check back at hosted archive site, as it will be updated regularly.
