I woke up early that morning on the 29th September in South Korea, the second last day of our tour. It was cold, but the signs all point to a lovely day ahead. As I opened the door to the balcony of our hotel room, it was not the chirpy sounds of the early birds that greeted me, but mooing from the cows grazing on the slopes of the hill right in front of the hotel. We were going to Everland that day!
Everland in Seoul is like Disneyland or the theme parks in many countries (Movie World in Australia comes to mind). As it was near to Halloween, the theme of the month was all related to that. The decorations were all aptly done up, with pumpkins and spooky cartoons. Well, of course they could not dress up the animals in the small Safari they had. The Safari reminded me of the trip we made to Bandung, Indonesia just early this year, without the close proximity to the animals though.
I always liked taking photographs of the flora everywhere I go, and there is no exception here. It’s kind of irrational, but flowers are a must! And Everland does have like 2 huge gardens packed with loads of varieties of flowers. Not to mention the bees too!
There are a number of rides for the young and adventurous, but the Warden and I preferred not to stress our hearts too much. So we steered clear of the rides. Well she actually wanted to take the Merry-Go-Round, but I managed to persuade her from the thought
My buddy Wilfrid asked me for photos of Korean girls, so this is what I could do, under the circumstances. Guess I will have to try harder the next time. Sorry buddy
So that’s Everland. A pretty enjoyable place for the whole family, and definitely a hit with the kids. The hilly slopes were a killer though, under the hot sun. The weather almost felt like Singapore’s, without the humidity (thank goodness!), even though it was supposed to be cool.

Nice photos you have! Thanks for the pictures! I think next time you will need to bring along your telescope to get a closer look at the Korean girls! Ha ha ha.
You love animals, don’t you? Let’s go back to that Safari again someday and take pictures of the lions and tigers with tripod … tuck sharp photos. I will be inside the car while you are out there shooting. Thank you.

Erm, it’s telephoto lens dude, not telescope. Hahaha!
No thanks! Those kitties don’t look too friendly. You know when the pros go to Safaris, most of them are using the tripod from a safe distance. I don’t want to be the first man to be eaten alive together with his tripod. I think I will go to the Singapore Zoo first. My sister can get me free tickets

Nice huh Dora? The Halloween decorations were all over the place. Very cute! One of my favorite in Everland was the 3D movie – many surprises during the show.
