My First Time

A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine had this on his IM’s custom message – “First time appearing on TV as a woman”, followed by the date and time of the broadcast. Turns out that he was “caught” on Kim Ng’s variety show that torments ordinary folks but dressing them up as characters in local productions. In his case, he was supposed to dress up and act as Jack Neo’s character – “Liang Xi Mei”. At least it was not “Liang Po Po”. To me, it was gross. Oh he was gross as well.

Anyway, my first happened a couple of weeks ago too. Something that a fortune teller once told me has a very improbable chance of happening to me. If you look at the image I have here, yes I’ve won in ToTo! Woohoo! It so happened that I was having lunch near my office one day when I came across the ToTo / 4D booth, and something (either desperation, greed or poverty) prompted me to enter and buy some tickets. So I departed with $5 for a couple of strings of numbers on 2 pieces of printed paper with bar codes.

I had totally forgotten about it, until like a week passed the draw date that I checked. I had concluded that it was a gone case, when something perhaps like the stars that crossed my eyes, drew my attention to a particular combination of numericals. My eyes flashed, and I rubbed them, then stared at the results again. Then I used the online results calculator to confirm that I had won… Group 5… which means $30!! Woohoo!! That gave me more money to buy more ToTo… I can see where it’s all going…

So, that’s the whole exciting experience of my “first time”.
