In the mood for music

I’ve been rummaging among my old CDs and ripping them into mp3 on my laptop. I’ve not even been listening to some of the CDs for years, so I suppose it’s a lot more convenient to have them on my laptop for convenience at work. Then I came across Miles Davis’s Kind of Blue which I bought a couple of years back. Now, I’m really a Jazz noob, especially when someone asks me, “So, what kind of Jazz do you listen to?”. I will usually give my standard ready-made-on-the-fly answer, “Err… well, nothing specific but I go for the easy-listening ones…”, well… the noobness just cries out for attention.

Thus, after ripping Kind of Blue, I did a search on the web to look for the album artwork, because I like to have it displayed when I play it on iTunes. Then I came across http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kind_of_Blue which provided a hive of information that I never knew, such as this album is actually certified triple platinum in sales?! I felt like I had struck gold. I mean, I knew it was good, but not this good!

Apart from Jazz, a while back I was looking at the Korean group K.I.S.S’s Because I’m a Girl. I was like discovering a whole new world out there, when I found various translations and versions of this song. I was disappointed to find out that the group had disbanded, apparently due to some internal conflicts. I could play the song over and over and not get tired of listening to it. Yet I did not know exactly what the girls were crooning. Thus I made another search on the web, and finally found a blog with the English-translated lyrics (found from http://www.shisso.org/archives/000208.html). So here it is:
