I ‘ve been kept busy recently, what with events at work and in the gaming world happening at the same time. It’s quite a bit of stress and excitement all mixed together. I have completed the paperwork of taking over a couple of projects from this other company, in a bid to boost my company’s profile. The risks are there, as operating costs have the potential to escalate, if not managed properly. On the other hand, this strategic move could see more business coming in as there are already potential projects down the pipeline. An additional maintenance job just dropped in, which will increase the coffers for the month a little – courtesy of an existing client. Luckily or unluckily, my current project has stalled to a halt as the client personnel wrestles with internal resource issues. I couldn’t care less as they tend to play with their own internal politics – I just make sure the money gets deposited nonetheless.

Gaming-wise, over the weekend I was online and witnessed the decimation of our guild ranks, as many key people decided to leave the guild and join another. It was heart-wrenching as I had quested and raided the dungeons with some of these people for months. On the bright side, that sort of spurred me on to rebuild the guild with whoever’s left and I felt revitalised. The recent events had sapped the energy and soul, but they serve as a minor irritants more than anything major. Guess I might not have a lot of time for my blogs these coming days.
